Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
The Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme began in the July 2009/2010 academic session with the first intake of 30 students. It is a full-time programme designed to produce competent, professional, and compassionate medical graduates.
The duration of study is a minimum of five (5) years and a maximum of seven (7) years, starting from the date of initial registration.

Career Opportunities
Graduates must serve with the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH). Service begins with a two (2)-year housemanship in government hospitals, followed by appointment as a Medical Officer in hospitals or health clinics nationwide.
After at least three (3) years of service, they may pursue postgraduate studies locally or abroad, or sit for examinations such as those from the Royal Colleges in the UK, Ireland, or Australia. Local postgraduate specialty training requires at least four (4) years, leading to specialist and consultant appointments. Medical specialists may also become university lecturers in medical faculties.
