DIPLOMA IN NURSING SCIENCE

 

The Diploma In Nursing Science is designed to train graduates to become a professional nurse.  Professional nurses make a difference in the lives of patients and their families.  A graduate who has completed a Diploma in Nursing, and eligible to sit for the Board of Nursing Examination for licensure as a registered nurse.

PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES

At the end of the programme, graduates should be able to:

  1. Produce nurses which able to think critically, apply theory into practical, and provide health promotion to community.
  2. Inculcate caring and professional values to everyone in community health services.
  3. Generate highly motivated and dedicated nurses with full supported self development in their lifelong learning for career achievement.
  4. Produce a quality nurse and enable to further their study either in local or international institutions.

DURATION OF PROGRAMME

The duration of the course for this program is 3 years which is consists of two semesters. The minimum period for the completion of this program is 6 semesters, while the maximum period allowed is 10 semester. In the final year, students have to sit Board of Nursing Examination for licensure as a registered nurse.
